The Director of Admissions Recruitment & Engagement will focus on refinement and implementation of the law school's plan for marketing and messaging to prospects, applicants and admitted candidates, as well as the evaluation and selection of candidates for admission and scholarships. This individual will collaborate with the Vice Dean for Admissions and Career & Professional Development, the Director of Admissions Operations, visit and tour personnel, and law school marketing and finance professionals in a team effort to advance the law school's JD program enrollment goals.

This position is at Vanderbilt Law School and reports to the Assistant Dean of Legal Studies at Vanderbilt Law.

Job Description

The Director of Admissions for the School of Law will be responsible for acknowledging the submission of applications and receipt of other related documents and fees, reviewing files for missing material, data entry of prospective student information, student file maintenance, and preparation of related correspondence. The Director of Admissions in consultation with the Assistant Dean of Admissionsdevelops and implements strategies to meet enrollment goals, analyzes admissions data, trends, and market research to optimize recruitment efforts.

The Assistant Dean for Admissions is responsible for managing all aspects of juris doctor (J.D.) student recruitment and enrollment for the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Assistant Dean leads the Admissions Office, develops and implements a competitive marketing and recruitment strategy, allocates scholarships to incoming J.D. students, manages and develops pipeline programs, and oversees and participates in activities designed to facilitate acceptance by admitted applicants to the J.D. degree program.
